Branching Out Class at Shady Oak -Tour de France, July 7-11, 2014

Bonjour tout le monde,

Summer vacation has just begun and I’m sure some of you must be wondering how to keep your kiddos occupied during the next few months. For those of you living in the Fort Bend area, check out the branching out classes available at Shady Oak.

I will be leading a class all about France and have some fun projects lined up.

Art – Paint an Eiffel Tower masterpiece on canvas. Add lights to illuminate your work

Bake – Make Chocolate Croissants and French macarons

Perfume – Create your own perfume using essential oils

Fashion – Have a go at designing a unique outfit

We may even learn a little French along the way!!

So why not check out the link above and consider signing up for a class. You’ll be glad you did.

Hope to see you soon

Au revoir

About stephwheatley

Formerly from Britain, I have lived in the USA since 1989. My qualifications are in library science, but I've had a passion for all things artsy and crafty for as long as I can remember! I became the Primary Art Teacher at Shady Oak Christian School in 2009 and am thoroughly enjoying myself. I teach students at both Shady Oak Christian School and Shady Oak Primary School. It's wonderful to be able to share my passion at a place that believes in the importance of learning through creativity. Please check out the Shady Oak websites at and to learn more about these unique schools located in Richmond, TX.
