Study of the Eye in Pencil

3rd, 4th and 5th grade took on a challenging project in art during September. They were asked to draw a closeup picture of an eye. This required careful study of each other’s eyes! Shading was another skill they practiced. The students did an excellent job of following instructions. Their shading had to go in the same direction, they had to apply heavy shading in some areas and lighter in others and were taught how to blend in order to soften lines. The end results were impressive!
